UPDATED Yesterday Brady met a new person outside while leashed. After greeting the man Brady sat quietly and beautifully while we visited. This is more wonderful progress Brady has made. His forever home family will find him eager to please. QUIRKS: Brady's funny quirk is being scared/intimidated/what the ??? with tiny dogs. He will not approach them but leans on my leg while he scopes them out from a safe distance. COMMANDS: He arrived totally untrained but now knows "bed" which is his crate, "leave it", "back". "toy". "down" and "good boy". SIT - I totally failed on this. He won't sit on the command but if you say "back" he will back up and sit. He is so eager to please me that one scowl from me sends him collapsing to the floor exhibiting all kinds of dog apologies. CATS: Brady is cat curious and and if the cat is still he will creep up to examine the cat. If the cat leaves he'll want to chase the cat but out of curiousity, not a prey drive. My cats are fine with his gentle sniffing of them. He has met many people and hasn't met anyone he doesn't like. Small children might be knocked down due to his enthusiastic welcome but that is correctible. He is still a tiny bit mouthy but it quickly turns into kisses. He loves to ride in the car but needs to be restrained or he's bounces around. Brady is a whirlwind of affection and play. He wants to be with his person and is excellent responding to "come". Brady is also a food hog so food bribes are appreciated. Brady's mix of two wonderful breeds means he is smart, loyal and needs a lot of mental stimulation and exercise. He's very affectionate and enjoys tummy scratches. Brady has the Labrador tail wag that never stops and the alert Shepherd ears. In between is just high energy and love. He has no aggression issues with food or toys. He will steal the other dogs toys but they do the same to him. Brady is so friendly he even likes the newest Eskie to reside here although her big mouth and dubious charms push the other Eskies to the brink of insanity.
