Snowball is 9 years old and came to us as an owner surrender. His family had him for 7 years and he was very bonded to them. According to his previous family, Snowball had a fenced in yard to play in but they did not take him for walks. The family stated that Snowball was scared of unfamiliar visitors to the home, and he would bark, growl, and run and hide. At the shelter, he does continue to be frightened of new people but can warm up nicely. Once he feels comfortable, he can be quite a goofy guy! He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and has undergone a behavioral assessment. He has just begun to show some potential to guard his toys. He is currently on our adoption floor, but we are hoping to find him rescue as the shelter environment seems to be overwhelming for him. He was dog tested, and while he did not play with the other dog, he did not seem to be bothered by him either. He simply seemed uninterested and content to walk the yard and sniff around basically ignoring the other dog. It appears that he would be ok to live with other dogs; however, I'm not sure how he would do with an overly rambunctious dog.
