Tosh
We said goodbye today to one of the loves of our lives. Tosh came to us from ERU with his brother (who is having his own set of issues) in December of 2005. He was a happy go lucky sort of dog on his 3 1/2 legs. I'm thankful that he had mostly good years with us and that his decline was relatively quick, 6-8 months of his 14 or 15 year life. We'll see you again at the Bridge my Little Dog! Thank you, ERU, for the wonderful years! We would not trade a minute of them.......Kimberly Bourne, June 5, 2017

Tramp
I just wanted to let you know Tramp, my baby boy we adopted from you in 2012, previously Dancing Cloud, passed on August 29th. Evidently the seizures he had while we had him (only caused by flickering lights) was a neurological issue and he was just diagnosed in the past few months when he jumped and hurt himself. His hind quarters had lost muscle mass since December, and his front half seemed to lose muscle mass quickly in the one or two weeks he passed. His last 24-36 hours was when he really had trouble walking, and he didn’t make it to his dr appointment for evaluation, which is ok. He went in my lap where he would’ve wanted to be, didn’t suffer, and it all happened within a matter of maybe 15 minutes. I don’t think it was that long, but he saved my life so much, I’m glad we gave him the best life, and wanted to thank you for the best dog ever. He lost his brother to lymphoma last November, and now we are down to one Eskie. ……Donna Miller, September 7, 2025

Trip Of GA
Trip was a sweet boy who had gone thru a lot of changes in his short life, but was a smart, active and very beautiful little boy. He always wanted to be right by my side and in my lap. Oh how he loved his biscuits and would run in a circle, then sit so quickly to get a treat. He would play for hours with my little Chihuahua mix and his energy sometimes astounded me. He sat in the window of my office and watched the world go by, protecting his home. He never minded sharing the window with the cats, particularly my young one, Lily, who loved to rub up against his soft fur. He deserved so much more than his short few years.
