My angel flew to heaven yesterday. I will miss him every day until we meet again. I found Elvis here 10 years ago and we were both so happy. Please love your dog every day they leave us so fast........Michael McNeil, August 15, 2020
For those of you who knew Ernie (Rudy aka), thank you for getting him to me. We shared so much together. He supported me through my 3 surgeries & was as in love with me as I was with him. We had so much fun ...he had a huge personality & could be so funny. He'd hide his favorite ball & make me go around the house looking for it, only to pop it out & trot away, no doubt laughing at me. He would put his favorite toy in my shoe to show his appreciation & took so much pleasure in learning new tricks because all he wanted was to please me. Dementia for any species is horrible for the entire family. Unfortunately, it affects dogs too. Staring off into space, withdrawing from his favorite humans & toys are some of the signs, as is pacing without a destination. Today he went to go be with my dad where I know he will take care of him till we can be together again. Thanks for reading. The picture if of better days...his official adoption day, holding his favorite Chuckit Ball.........Mayli Someillan, July 29, 2020
We adopted our Sullivan when we voluteered with ERU in 2006. He turned 15 in January (we think). We had to put him down today. He was my faithful companion for 14 years and was loved deeply. We will miss him....... Cara Cue McDaniel, July 2, 2020
Dillon passed away at the wonderful age of 18-1/2 years. A long life but still never long enough. His adopter was looking for a younger dog to rescue, but one look at this picture of Dillon melted his heart, and he was in love. They both needed and healed one another, and his passing is a profound loss. Run free and wild, Dillon.........Eskie Rescuers for David King, June 27, 2020.
My Beautiful Beautiful Bella. Tonight she crossed the Rainbow Bridge to be with her brothers. She has been fighting kidney disease for the past year and tonight she lost. She has been such a joy and love in my life and I will truly miss her. She was my first foster failure. She would have been 15 this coming Sunday!!! Run free baby girl and roll in the grass.......Arlene Young, March 25, 2020 Click a letter to find an animal or view all.
