It is with a heavy heart that I have to tell you that sweet Frosty passed away this morning. They believe he had a stroke; we are devastated. He was perfectly happy Monday and then woke up sick Tuesday - he was limping couldn’t walk well spent the day with him in bed we had called the vet but she was in surgery they said we could bring him by and leave him but I didn’t want to leave him there in a cage so we got up this morning made an appointment we’re getting ready to take him in and he had a seizure he passed away in the vets office with me holding him the Vet said there was nothing that could’ve been done for him,we loved him so much! We would not have given up these past two years for anything he was the sweetest dog we ever had!........Becky and James Johnson, August 21, 2019
Cody was surrendered to ERU for medical issues, which his loving owner was unable to cover. Upon intake, he had a very thorough examination, bloodwork, x-rays and a partial ultrasound. While Cody seemed bright and energetic on the outside, inside he was in very poor health and failing quickly. His bladder and urethra were filled with stones and crystals and surgery was the only way his incontinence could be resolved. Unfortunately, his bloodwork indicated significant renal disease and the onset of anemia. It was determined by our vet that it was too late to attempt surgery and with his compromised kidneys, he likely would not survive it. Under doctor's advisement, much discussion and many tears, we concluded that it was time to let Cody go and not let him continue to suffer. It absolutely broke our hearts.........Dyan Laphan/ERU, July 19, 2019
My Toby crossed the rainbow bridge on July 18. We got him through ERU 14 1/2 years ago and I will be forever grateful. He was 16 1/2 years old ❤️.......Karen Kelly Benin, July 18, 2019
Duke came to us when his owner died; he was quickly adopted and found his loving forever home. "Duke had surgery in early July 2019 to remove a mast cell tumor, and cancer was found. He is greatly missed”........Felecia Fuquay, July 15, 2019
I was blessed to have to have been chosen to adopt Marina from ERU in 2011!! I was her mama. Yesterday sadly she went to the rainbow bridge. I am beyond sad and trying my hardest but it is hurting me beyond belief. I had to make that awful decision and take on this incredible pain so that my Marina will be at peace. I love you Marina ballerina!!! Your mama........Char Hi, June 23, 2019 Click a letter to find an animal or view all.
