Goodbye sweet boy, you were loved very much. We will miss you.....Kate James, December 11, 2017
Nick of FL was an owner surrender at 14 years of age, when his mommy had to leave her home for assisted living with another family member. Sadly, the welcome mat was not extended to him, too. He was adopted by a man looking for a companion and best friend, and though they only had a year together, it was one of love and great care. Nick died peacefully at home from pneumonia, sleeping outside on the patio, looking out at the yard and trees.....his favorite place. You will be missed, our boy..........David King, November 5, 2017
Cindy/Sarah...... She was a stray in New Mexico last year. When I saw what a sweetheart she was, I named her Cindy, after my very own Cindy Hamilton Chapman. As soon as Jim Schulz saw her he was an instant transport failure, an ERU first! He renamed her after his very dear friend Sarah and she had him wrapped around her little paw ! He hand fed her and loved her like no other. Up until she wiggled into his heart, Jim was a self proclaimed big dog kinda guy. Well, as you can see by the look in their eyes, this was a love story only found in rescue, but one that will never fade. The big dog guy Jim and his little princess Sarah ❤️.......Denise Barker for Jim Schulz, October 17, 2017
Last Monday Squirt aka Elvis went to the Rainbow Bridge. He was my foster for a year and a half. I can't thank ERU enough for letting me share this wonderful time with him. He was such a pleasure to know and have follow me from room to room. Run free my little angel. We miss you so much!.......Kathy and Dave Farmer, September 12,2017
Last night we said goodbye to our ERU boy, Nakkeys. He was listed under the name Buck through ERU when he was up for adoption. We adopted him in February, 2007. He was about 15 years old now and his body just could not keep going because of terrible arthritis. We enjoyed 10 years of happiness with Nakkeys and loved him more and more as time went on. He was sweet, smart, intelligent, happy and loved beyond words. Many thanks to Jennifer Signorelli Jones for fostering him for ERU and letting us adopt him. Our house just isn't the same without him here. He was one in a million......Grace Kelly Herbert, June 12, 2017 Click a letter to find an animal or view all.
