Eskie Rescuers United

Available for Adoption!  Manny of Tallahassee, FL!!

Manny is a sweet young boy who's looking for his forever home.  He's about 2 years old and is a tall standard-sized eskie who currently weighs 29 pounds.  We rescued him from a kill-shelter in central Florida where he was a stray.  He was skin and bones at that time weighing only 20 pounds, but his foster mom is keeping him well-fed and he's now up to 29 pounds which we think is his ideal weight.   His hip bones, backbone, and ribs are no longer so prominent and his coat is already thicker and fuller.  

Manny needs an Eskie-savvy adopter, and no children please.
He's an excellent watch dog, and usually doesn't bark unless he has a reason to.  But like most dogs, he will bark at strange dogs and other animals that he sees near his foster home.  He's very affectionate, loves to give kisses, and get belly rubs.  He does great with most dogs, loves riding in the car, he's house trained, and knows some obedience commands.  Manny will need additional training to learn how to walk on a leash without pulling.   He is very treat oriented and takes them gently, which should help make his training easier. 

He loves to play, and needs a home with someone who will play with him daily.  A fenced yard is preferred, but not absolutely necessary.  

We don't yet know how he is with cats.  And we don't know if he was ever crate trained or not.
