I’m a 5 month old American Eskimo Dog. I was born on April 1, 2016. Boy, am I a cutie! I was purchased from a pet store when I was four months old and I didn’t have much in the way of socialization skills. My new mom had a toddler and I was wasn’t very fond of sharing my food, water or toys with her, so I nipped. That scared my mom, so she gave me to the rescue to teach me better skills and find me a forever home. I was lucky that she cared enough about me to do that.
I’m now in a foster home and I’m doing great. My foster brothers and sister have taught me how to share my toys and also told me that I have to share my food and water, too. So, now I no longer nip and grumble. I am happy that I know the family rules and I am ready for my new forever home.
I am a pup, so I’m still working on housebreaking, but I’m a happy little guy with LOTS of energy. I get along great with dogs and cats. I also love sitting on your lap and snuggling with you when you take a nap.

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.
If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers. There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.
