ADOPTION PENDING ON LIZZY

Lizzy is a 1 year old sweetie pie. She is well-mannered and affectionate. She meets many people that come to my house and loves all of them even though she can be a little shy for the first minute or two. Once she warms up, she wants to sit on everyone’s lap and cuddle (her favorite!).

Lizzie is a young girl, so she likes to participate in anything you like to do. She’s happy to ride in the car, go for a walk, play with toys, play tag with other dogs or just relax on/next to you while you read or watch TV.

She’s quite small at 13lb, so she is a great size to take with you just about anywhere. (Perhaps she’s part Pomeranian?). She’s not a yappy dog. In fact, she’s pretty quiet. The most common thing that comes out of her mouth is a beautiful eskie smile.

Lizzie is heartworm positive so her new family will need to continue her gentle kill treatment, which basically means taking pills until she is confirmed to be negative. Good with Dogs

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.

There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.
