I have an adoption pending! "Flying through the air with the greatest of ease, There goes the girl on the flying trampeeze." Hello everyone! My name is Soliel (you know like the Circus Soliel). I guess you are wondering why I have such an unusal name...did you know that American Eskimo dogs were originally bred as circus dogs? We are quick learners and very agile! So I'm Soliel the little circus dog!! ARF! ARF!! I am current on my vaccinations and heartworm negative. I have been spayed. I am about 2 years old. I weigh about 25 pounds so I'm a small standard. I am housebroken and get along well with all animals! Now let me tell you my story... I was found wondering around a neighborhood as a stray. Everybody would chase me and yell at me. I was getting into garbage cans for food. You see I had 5 mouths to feed. That's right...I had puppies! Nobody wanted me and nobody seemed to understand that I just needed a little food. So finally animal control caught me. They took me to this place where they fed me. At last I could take care of my sweet beautiful puppies. I was such a great Mom. I loved those little fluff balls so much! As my little ones grew people kept coming by and talking about OH how cute those white puppies are. Then I only had 4...then 3...then 2...then 1 and and then I was alone! I was so lonesome! My coat was in terrible shape because of the stress of nursing my puppies. I was heartbroken because I was by myself so I stayed hidden in the corner. People didn't pay much attention to me. Some lady came by and took my picture...the kennel worker ask her what the point of taking my picture was...no one would want a shy, dirty dog like me. Anyway the next thing I knew a lady came and got me. She took me home with her, gave me a bath, mixed me a special blend of food, let me play with her cats and other dogs and showed me kindness! I started to thrive...my foster Mom says I so smart! I love to play with the cats...I never play to rough with them...they have claws you know!! I get along well with the other dogs in the household. I learned some basic commands. I started to trust people again! But there is still something missing...I am still lonesome! I need a forever family of my very own! Can you fill that empty spot in my heart? I'm waiting...just tell 'em you want Soliel the little circus dog! If you're interested in me and would like more information, please contact Deborah: Deborah@eskierescuers.org You can also visit our website You can also visit our website and sign-up to fill out an adoption application and learn more about our adoption process. I'm being staying with my foster mommy, Nancy, in Morristown, TN. Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state. To get me to you, we can do what's called an "Eskie Railroad," which is a group of volunteer drivers who will each drive a certain portion of the transport. (We always ask that you, as the adopter, help out by taking the final leg.) If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you may have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). There is an adoption fee required, and please be aware that Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs. Lots of Eskie hugs and kisses!
