**Madison, WI** Hi My name is Ahnika and I am a new puppy girl from the streets of Indiana. I was brought up to Wisconsin by some nice people and now living in Madison with my Foster and his Eskie dog Kaiser. I was very fearful of people at first, but they seem to be pretty nice to me- I still prefer to be around other dogs more than people. I have been working on the house training thing and its not that hard, just remember I have a tiny bladder and need to go outside several times a day. I do know what puppy pads are and will use them if I can't wait. My playmate Kaiser has been very nice and gentle with me since he is much bigger than I am, but we play a lot together and I love to wrestle. I am learning many new things and I will come to you on my terms, and I am getting used tothe cuddling, Eskie kisses and sitting in your lap - again on my terms - just don't push it or I will get scared. I am crate trained and do not mind the quiet time for a couple hours, however I prefer to sleep near my pack at night. ie your bed:). I ride in a car very well.

Good with Dogs, Good with Kids

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.

There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.

Eskie Rescuers United American Eskimo Dog Rescue, Inc. is an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Please click the donation button below to make a tax-deductible donation through PayPal and help make a difference to even one American Eskimo dog!
