Hello!  My name is Lucy and I was recently rescued from a very scary shelter!  They found me as a stray with my friend, Ricky.  You can see his website on ERU too...I'm the white eskie in our photo.  Ricky and I were wandering the streets together so we developed a good friendship.  I'd really like to be adopted with Ricky if possible, but I understand that might not happen.  We are both pretty underweight right now since we were on the streets with no regular meals, but we are eating much better now, which is great! 

I'm pretty shy with new people, but I warm up pretty quickly.  I'm a super sweet girl so once I get used to you, I'll be your best friend!  Right now, Ricky and I are getting ready to be "fixed"...whatever that means!  We had kennel cough from the shelter where we were staying so we have been treated for that and we are both doing really well.  But the vet wants us to be completely better before we are "fixed."

ERU is still learning about me and Ricky, and they will be posting more information on us soon.  But if you are looking for a sweet, little girl, I'm your gal!

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.

There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.
