Whitey is around 9 to 10years old. We rescued him on the side of the road living in a patch of bamboo. He was scared, skinny, and dehydrated. He was not an easy rescue but we knew he needed our help. After getting him home and evaluating him his hair was matted all over, his nails were so long and curled under. This poor boy had been on his own for a good long while. We worked on getting him crate trained which he has done very well with. He does like other dogs that are smaller with low energy. He likes being in his crate as well as being outside. He isn't toy motivated but extremely food and treat motivated. He will get into moods where he wants to play with you once he's comfortable. His little butt goes in the air and starts little zoomies when he's comfortable. Does have food aggression with other animals so feeding separate or in his crate is a must due to being so hungry for so long. He is a sweet boy. He does have some special needs he is deaf to most noise only certain pitches get his attention. His eye sight is aging but isn't gone. He loves head rubs and being brushed. Someone loved this sweet dog at one time and we've helped show him the human touch is still here for him. He deserves a good retirement home.  For more information please contact Tabitha at
