Hi my name is Asha, I am a young boy that is looking for his new furever home. I was found in a backyard of a nice lady in PA. She thinks that her family dropped me off in her yard since she does rescue but was not able to keep me. She had no choice but to take me to animal control where the animal control officer thought I was such a nice dog that he wanted to help me find a new home.
I am a very sweet boy, have no aggressions that they have seen, and I love other dogs. I might be a mix cause I am a little bigger than the most eskies, but they say I am absolutely BEAUTIFUL. I have luxuriously soft white fur, beautiful seashell pink ears, and a thick sweeping tail, quite handsome, if I must say so myself! I love to ride in the car and play with almost all toys - give me a squeaky toy or throw me a tennis ball and let's have some fun!
Because I am young and have not had the training needed to be a perfect companion, it's best that I go to classes to learn how to be the perfect gentleman that I know I can be. I am kinda strong and tend to pull when I am out on a walk, but I am super smart and am learning basic commands so I'm sure it won't take me long to learn manners.
We found out that I DO NOT LIKE CATS, so its best that I go to a home that is cat-free. I like kids of most ages (especially teenagers) and play nicely with them. If you have another dog, that is fine but they need to be close to my size or bigger - no small fur brothers or sisters for me (they remind me too much of squirrels!).
I am an active guy but after all, I am still a youngster. I am crate trained and housebroken, and am allowed to have run of the house with my foster mom when she is home, with my other furry 4-legged friends. I also recently learned that I like to swim!
Good with Dogs, Not Good with Cats, Good with Kids
Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.
If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers. There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.
