Artemis of Central FL is NOW AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION
Artemis (Missy) is a happy-go-lucky little girl who loves walks and hugs. She's so spunky and active, you would never guess she's 12 years old. She's completely vetted, including an extensive dental. She's completely healed from that now, and is ready to find her "fur"ever loving home. Missy would be content to sit next to her pet parent(s) and be petted all afternoon. She will make someone a fantastic companion.
She's fully housetrained and knows several commands including 'sit', 'stay', and 'gentle'. She also knows what 'treat' means and will sit nicely and raise her paw - a la Lassie style - to await her treat. She's good with everyone she meets, including young children like she had in her previous home. It might be best though if she's in a home with older and respectful children, or no kids at all. She's good with other dogs and would be okay with a canine sibling, and seems fine with cats she sees on her leashed walks. She isn't much of a barker except for when someone enters the house. She will warm up to visitors at her foster home almost immediately when her foster mom tells her that it's okay. But at first it will sound like she's seeking her next victim!
She's a good and eager eater, and will dance in circles awaiting her dinner bowl. Her foster mom puts her water bowl up on the counter until she finishes her meal, or she's likely to step in it or tip it over.
Missy needs a fenced yard, and her adopter should be within 2 hours of Orlando, FL
Artemis is currently SPONSORSHIP only, while she's getting her vetting done and we get to know her. Once she's ready for adoption, we will list her as available.

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.
If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers. There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.
Eskie Rescuers United American Eskimo Dog Rescue, Inc. is an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Please click the donation button below to make a tax-deductible donation through PayPal and help make a difference to even one American Eskimo dog!
