LOCATION: Lakewood, OH Oh my I am such a happy girl! I am finally in a home that treats me with the respect and love I deserve! I have spent the first four years of my life in the backyard of a woman who bred me so she could sell off my babies for a HUGE profit! My heart aches for all my babies that went out into the world without proper socialization. I hope I was able to pass on my sweet disposition as I know that is the only thing that will save them if they are ever turned into a pound. I was rescued from there by an all breed rescue and they did not have the foster space where I could be given some time to learn to trust and who understood how intuitive and sensitive my breed is so they contacted Eskie Rescuers United. I was picked up from the vet where I was being boarded and went on a two day trip to arrive at my new foster home. It has been quite an adventure, staying overnight with a real gentleman named Kaiser and his human partner Chuck. They gave me a bath, which felt so good! I rode with people who know and understand Eskies. I have shown my new foster mom that I am a quick learner. Being inside is new for me and I want to hide under beds and tables but by new foster showed me this really nice “kid hut” and within a ½ day I learned it was my safe place. I like the door of it to be open so I can peek out if I want or lie at the back of it and not feel trapped. I am potty trained as well, I just give a low whine to my human family members to let them know I need to go out and do my business. I mean inside they have no green soft grass and that is what I like to have for going potty. I am fearful of new situations and people and will shake. I love my foster mom and actually am suffering a bit of panic anxiety when she leaves. On our walk we came upon some teenagers and they were mean picking up a rock and throwing it at me before my foster mom knew what was happening. I was so scared and shaking after that experience. Foster mom is just going to take me out to the grass strip by our apartment for now to do my business, while I build some confidence. I am up to date on all my shots, have been spayed and am HW negative. I am available for sponsorship for the time being so my foster mom can learn more about me. It is important so the right furever home can be found for me. By the way my name is Misty and I am so lucky ERU has taken me in. More about Sweet Misty of OHGood with Kids Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state. Videos of Sweet Misty of OH:
