Hi, my name is Butch. Well it's actually Butchy, but the guy who is putting this post up thinks that's a little too flowery for an eskie boy. But I can see that you might want to call me that because as you can see I am a very cute and gorgeous miniature American Eskimo dog. I'm about 13 inches tall.

I'm good with other dogs, cats, and children. What more could you ask for? I don't bark very much either although I just arrived so that might change later on when I become more comfortable.

I'm pretty affectionate and like attention. For the past 1 1/2 years I lived outdoors in a kennel in the back yard, so I got pretty lonely out there. I am hoping that a nice family will come and adopt me and let me live indoors with them.

I could use some training, because my previous owners didn't train me at all. But my foster mom says that I am responding well and that I am smart. I'm pretty easy going and just want to please.

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.

There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.
