Welcome Louie to the R'Eskie Ranch in Randallstown. Louie is the sweetest, most gentle eskie with a beautiful soul. He was found as a stray by a kind soul in KY, but she was not able to keep him. Thankfully she reached out to us and, with the help of many wonderful people and Charm Rescue (https://charmrescue.org/) in Howard County, MD, Louie was safely transported from southern KY to Randallstown.

We don't know his age, but I think he is a senior. He had nine teeth removed and is heartworm positive (he started treatment today). Louie is housetrained and seeing impaired (glaucoma has been ruled out). He is not able to navigate steps without help so a home where he is able to stay on one level that leads to outdoors would be ideal.

Louie is great with dogs and everyone he meets. He loves his yard and daily walks. Louie is a true gem.

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.

There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.
