Phoenix is in need of a new forever home, through no fault of his own. He is a 10 year old, 22 pound American Eskimo. He is up to date on all his shots, neutered, and has no health issues. He is crate and house trained. He loves to hike and does great with a no pull harness. He also loves squeaky toys, belly rubs and pets, and having a ball thrown for him.
He initially prefers women to men, however he is very friendly and loves attention so he can be fairly quick to warm up to new people. He does have anxiety and will exhibit typical Eskie barking behavior. He had an incident with a larger off leash dog when he was younger and is now wary of bigger dogs; he may snarl or bark but has no bite history. He would do best as an only dog, or in a home with smaller dogs and currently resides with cats. It would be best to have a home without small children.
