Hello World!  I’m Bolt and I am so excited to be alive!  I was just recently rescued from a shelter and I am so happy to be out of there and in my new foster home.  As you can see from my pictures, I’m not a pure bred Eskie, I am part terrier.  I have really short white hair with these cute little brown spots behind my ears…check them out in my photos.  And I’m pretty small too…when they took my picture, they put me on the table and you can see how small I am compared to my foster mom’s hand next to me.  Hey – you know who I look like?  You know that dog in the Target ads?  I look just like him without the black circle around my eye.  Or have you seen the movie ‘Bolt’?  That’s my namesake…they named me after him because I look just like him.  All in all, I’m the cutest thing you have ever seen!

Here are some things you should know about me…I have a TON of energy – it’s the terrier in me!  I love to play and play all day.  I really love playing with the other dog in my foster home…although he does seem to tire out before me.  Oh well, I just keep playing anyway.   I LOVE kids too...they are so much fun to play with!  Those things called cats…I’m okay with them too – I just ignore them.  I ride really well in a car, that’s so much fun!  My foster mom took me to the dog park and I got along well with ALL the dogs there…she was really impressed!

The only thing I haven’t quite learned yet is housetraining.  I’m a young boy that is really smart though, so I will learn quickly.  I just need to be taught!  I could also use some obedience training…since I’m so young; I haven’t really had that yet.  But it will be fun to learn new things with my new family.

One more thing…I really love having my belly rubbed, so I hope you have your scratching hand ready!  Basically, I am more than ready to have a loving family of my own.  I will love you so much!!  So if you think you might be that family, be sure to fill out an application for me quickly – I’m such a loving dog that I know I won’t be in foster care long!  If you would like more information about me, contact Chris at ChrisB@eskierescuersorg.   I really hope to hear from you soon!

Love, Bolt

More about Bolt in CO

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.

There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.

Eskie Rescuers United American Eskimo Dog Rescue, Inc. is an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Please click the donation button below to make a tax-deductible donation through PayPal and help make a difference to even one American Eskimo dog!
