Hello, my name is Lucy. My foster mom calls me "Lucy Liu." My name use to be "Harley" when I lived in Alabama, but my foster mom said the name didn't suit me and it wasn't appropriate for a young lady. My previous owner left me at a shelter in Alabama. The people at the shelter listed me on petfinder.com and my photograph looked like I was an American Eskimo. Well, they sure fooled my foster mom. She made arrangements to pick me up in Huntsville. When a volunteer dropped me off, my foster mom was surprised to see I was a "mix," but it didn't seem to matter. We headed for Georgia to my new foster home. I'm an easy going well-behaved little girl. I have eight brothers and sisters at my foster home. My foster mom has a pack of fun-loving dogs and I fit right in. We play and play and play. I'm housetrained and was taught manners before I was left at the shelter. My foster mom is convinced my training wasn't done nicely, because I was so afraid I'd get in trouble at my foster home. I haven't been in trouble, yet! I'm allowed to enjoy life without worrying about being hit. I don't get on the furniture, beg for food, jump on people, or chew on anything except the marrow bones my foster mom gives me. Also, when my mom feeds the dogs, I wait until she tells me it is okay to eat. My foster mom says I behave better than any of her dogs! When I was living in Alabama, I was chained outside a lot. Now, when I work outside in the garden with my foster mom, I never wander too far from her. I no longer have to be chained or tied to a tree. When my foster mom calls me, I always follow her commands. We go for walks in the country a lot, too. I can be trusted and won't run away. Lucy needs a home with a fenced yard. She likes to find a cool place under a tree to take a nap and loves playing in the yard with her foster brothers and sisters. She is afraid of cages or crates, and she does not need to be kept in a crate. Lucy is not destructive and she is house-trained.
