Hi, my name is Lucy. I am about 5 yr old and just coming into rescue. I was owned by an 89 yr old man that raised me from a pup. I was a gift to him for company. He just turned 90 and had to go away as his health is bad and he went blind, so he couldent take care of me anymore.I am missing him very bad. His family did not want me and wanted to put me to sleep forever! But the nice rescue took me in, and I am in a nice home with a kind foster mom that is helping me with outside things as my dad left me do my business in house on papers and did not get to see outside world much. There is alot to learn, but mom says I am a very sweet girl. I need a new home and a patient owner that may be home often. . I like fruits and veggies, and was found to have a allergy to tomatoes. I have a voice when I want something and may growl or bark in insistance of what I want. You can ask my foster mom any questions, smllcakes@yahoo.com If you have interest in making me yours , fill an app, please. Thank you,Lucy update 7/10 She may do best with a home that does not have other dogs as she shows a bit of dominance to others.she does not get aggressive but picks.she may get along with a dog, that will play. My dogs are 14yrs and dont play,so it may be different with other dogs. Lucy is a bit timid and is unsure about things sometimes. But she is a very nice girl. Once she gets used to her sorroundings, gets more bold. She is doing great with housebreaking, only one accident in the time she came. She gets a little wild when excited for a bit. She zips and flips on back for attention She will make someone a excellent companion. She would be great for walking partner, and would not need a large yard, she would be good dog for apartment or home with no yard and just walks few times a day.Lucy is crate trained.
