LOCATION: Panama City (Panhandle area), FL Will adopt to FL or states within 6 hr drive only, after Cancer Treatment, hopefully after August 2008. Hi my name is Kyle and I'm located in Panama City (2 hrs West of Tallahassee), FL. I’m about 5 yrs old, and I'm considered a large mini Eskie or a small standard because I weigh about 21 lbs & am 14 in tall. Here I am finally blossomed into this loving Eskie and now I am facing a new challenge - Cancer. They recently found a lump on my chest- level 2 cancer. I had the surgery to removed the lump abt a month ago, hopefully it's all gone. We won't know for abt 6 months, if I'm cleared. So now it's my turn to wear that Purple Ribbon as a Cancer Survivor. Please help me cover my surgery bill. I have a positive outlook that I will beat this, too. See my survival story below, before my cancer: I've come a long way from being the really shy guy that I was when I first got to my foster family. I used to hide in the pantry and didn't Let anyone to touch me especially around the collar or head or feet. I didn't play with anyone, just sat sadly just waiting. Now I'm the "it" guy, I sleep on my mommy bed and snuggle up, I like falling asleep in her arms, and I love it when she carries me around. I also like it when my daddy picks me up and hugs me. I now run up with the rest of the gang for treats and pets. I give kisses and I play rope with my 6 yr old foster brother. And I run to meet my family at the door to give them lots of kisses when they come home. I've also been privy to a few barbeques and enjoyed folks petting me too, especially if they were willing to share. I am not as vocal as my sister eskies, but I do alert when a stranger is around. Actually I take my duties seriously. I do rounds during the night through out all the bedrooms, especially through my human brother's room. I like to lay near his bed and make sure he's sleeping soundly. Then I'm off checking the other rooms. I don’t have any foster kitty siblings but I did get to meet one face to face and wagged my tail. The kitty didn't want anything to do with so my foster mommy isn't sure how I’d get along with them but suspects it won't be a bad thing, especially since I get along with everyone at home. I am pretty laid back around my Eskie sisters. My fur is a silky smooth long haired kind. I don’t do well with fleas so I need to be well groomed. Hey what did you expect a handsome guy like me to say. I've taken a liking to getting a bath and getting brushed down but I'm still all guy. I am not crazy about getting my ears cleaned or my nails cut, but mommy says that's the sacrifice I have to make to keep up my good looks. I'm still scared of storms and I stick close to my foster mommy or I get under the bed covers. Thanks to those hugs, I can now sleep through the storms in my mommy or daddy's arms. My foster mommy has been working with me to get over my fears of getting grabbed by my collar or getting my ears cleaned. I am much better about it now, but its tough to put some of those memories aside, so for now I’m looking for someone who has Eskie experience and can speak my language if you know what I mean. So no little kids for now, but I do want to have human siblings, kids a bit older since I love playing tug of war with my human 6 yr old brother. Speaking of running, I’ve got another request; I want someone who likes to go for long walks. Rides are cool too but take me for a walk and you've made my day. I may not like to get my ears cleaned but I am a well mannered boy, I wait my turn for treats, use a doggie door and I don’t spot the furniture. I've come a long way from those lost days on my own and as much as I love my foster family I really want a forever family to share all my love & Eskie kisses with. To become my forever family you'll need to fill out an application. If you have any question, please contact my foster mommy, Ana at amontero@bsc.net We'd really like to hear from you.
