Stevie is a very sweet 9 month old pup!  Right now he is only 23 lbs. but he is tall and lanky!  He should be around 30 to 35 lbs by the time he finishes growing and fills out.  He still has his cute puppy coat and that should be filling out too.

He loves to run and play outside and makes us both laugh. When he wants his belly rubbed, he is so enthusiastic about that, that he practically does somersaults to get in position.  He has learned to sit and is beginning to understand the fun of bringing a ball back when it is thrown for him. He loves to spend time with us and is quite affectionate.

He loves being outside, is good with some dog savvy cats but has shown aggression with some cats so a household without cats would be best.  He gets along great with female dogs but is aggressive with other males.  He has been around small children (2 years old and 8 months old) and lets them lay on him.  He loves belly rubs and being loved and loving back.  He loves squeaky toys and balls and rope toys and chasing things.

He has some bad habits like jumping on my chair and getting on my head and licking my face and making me laugh when I am trying to scold him!

He would benefit from going to training classes. He is very smart and anxious to learn and please!

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.

There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.
