Lily is a senior American Eskimo (est 10+ years) that found herself in a Michigan animal Control faculty, covered with fleas and mats. She was taken to a groomer, treated, bathed and shaved on her back area. Her hair is now coming back beautifully. She is heartworm negative and UTD on her vaccinations. Lily is a very healthy, petite girl weighing only 19 pounds, housetrained, good with other dogs, cats, and chickens and would fit in any quiet household without hyper dogs, and small children. She is left uncrated in our home during the day for 5-7 hours without any problems. We do crate her at night and she is fine with that. Lily does have some visual problems which make it hard for her to do down stairs but does fine otherwise. She is very gentle & quiet, is not a big barker (unless you leave her outside to long) and loves to cuddle.

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Is Not Good with Kids

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.

There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.
