Hello! My name is Lucy and I'm looking for a new home! I'm 10 months old, still just a pup, and learning my way through life. Though I am good with other dogs and cats, in my previous home I became very protective of my Mama and picked on my little sisters. (They were smaller dogs than me!) I am receiving some pack integration & behavioral training at a doggie day care in order to learn that I am not the top dog. I am one of many dogs and should learn not to fuss with others (that's what I am told anyway!) I will be undergoing training for a few weeks, but I'm available for adoption and hoping to find the right home. I have lived in a family with older children. I am high energy and might jump on small children. I guess we all need to learn our manners! I am housebroken and like to sleep in the bed with my family. I am not sure about wearing a harness or collar; I think I had a bad experience when I was s small puppy and have blocked that out. With patience and time I am sure I will get past the fear. Once I'm outside and we are walking, I am fine, and the more I am out meeting the neighborhood's dogs, the less I bark at them. I am a little bit of a digger, so I will need lots of activity to keep me from playing in the dirt. Daily walks are a must! Doggy day care would be great if my new family is not home during the day. I would do best in a home with other dogs where I understand the pack order (which should be reinforced by my new family.)
