LOCATION: New Smyrna Beach, FL Hi my name is Blake, after spending my first seven years with the couple that adopted me as a baby, they had a new human baby and they surrendered me to ERU. Those great folks at ERU found another family that adopted me. The family fell on hard times, their home foreclosed and they surrendered me after nine months, back to ERU. It has been rather confusing and difficult to adjust to all the changes in my life this past year. The K-9 Angels (ERU) found a foster home for me on a little island in Florida. Leaving my previous families was quite emotional, they were crying, and I was confused. After a rocky start with my foster Mom, she says I am a 5-star, gold ribbon Eskie, what ever that means. Unfortunately after a few weeks at my foster Mom’s I had a scuffle with the neighbor dog and had to have the tip of one of my little toes amputated. It’s all better now and if I hadn’t told you, you would never know. My foster Mom has a little Eskie named Miss Princess KeKe, I had never met royalty, but she is really nice, and three kitties, I really like them to. Well now, let’s talk about me and my future. In my dreams I would be the only K-9 kid, in a quiet home, with lots of love. I don’t demand lots of attention, but sure do appreciate it when I get it. Oh I am treat motivated when it comes to commands, aren’t we all. I am a lap dog and love to give hugs. I am absolutely 100% house trained. Love to go on walks and am a really good boy on the leash. The best is going for a ride in the car, especially to the bank (cookies) and Dairy Queen for doggie sundaes. My foster Mom says I am the MVP of ball catching. She giggles when I try to catch the tennis ball with my paws. I will play ball till the sun goes down. Love my bubble bath, blow dry, and brushing of my beautiful coat. Other than those activities, I am pretty much a couch potato. Oh except I love to keep you warm in your bed at night. Also I am a really good security guard for my home and family. I am really shy and fearful of strangers, so my Mom ask them to ignore me till I get to know them, that works great. Miss Princess KeKe likes to go out and about, prance and show off, a real social butterfly. Not me, I prefer to stay home and nap. So if you are looking for a faithful low key companion to give you lots of doggie love I’M THE GUY for you.
