I am a very quiet, shy boy looking to be someone’s new best friend. I walk like a perfect gentleman on a leash, I never pull my person. I enjoy a brisk walk or two every day, but don’t need too much exercise. I would make a great apartment dog, as I’m petite and very quiet, I rarely bark.
As I spent the summer in a shelter with many other dogs, I know I would much prefer a quiet home without other dogs. But I will be nice enough when I meet a dog on our walks. And, I don’t mind an older cat or two wandering about. I would make a perfect companion for a single person, or a couple with no children, or older children (young children can make me nervous).
I’m very friendly once you get to know me, but it does take me a bit to warm up to new people. You might need to visit with me a few times while we get to know each other before I can be adopted and go home with you. I’m staying with my foster mother in Newton, MA (right next to Boston). She’ll be happy to tell you more about me. You can e-mail her at lbceriani@aol.com

Is Not Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Is Not Good with Kids

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.

There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.

Eskie Rescuers United American Eskimo Dog Rescue, Inc. is an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Please click the donation button below to make a tax-deductible donation through PayPal and help make a difference to even one American Eskimo dog!
