Hi, my name is Artemis, but everyone calls me Artie. Let me tell you a little about myself, we might make a good match.  I am 3-4 yrs old (there is some debate about this) and I weigh about 29 lbs., though my foster mom is working with me to maybe get that down a little bit. All my shots and meds are up to date. I am housebroken; just ask my foster mom, she hasn't had to clean up any messes in the house!

I love having my own crate to sleep in anytime I want, and I have no problems staying in there with the door shut either. I also travel great in a vehicle with no whining or pacing.
I love to run and going outside is still such a treat for me. My former owner couldn't go on those walks that I love so much, but I get to go out more now and my foster family is helping me learn how to be a good walker..* OOH was that a squirrel?! * I come when called inside but it is just so fun to run outside that I can't seem to hear my name. I don't go too far though and it doesn't take too long for me to remember where I am supposed to be.

It takes me a little time to get used to other dogs. I am getting along great with my foster brother, who is a big lab mix, but I don't think he understands that it is all about me. There is also a cat here but I don't really hang with him much.

I love to be around people, wherever they are and whatever they’re doing. My foster family has been great and I have done so well at improving my socialization skills. It would be sad for me to go back to being lonely all the time during the day.

I’ve also learned to be around kids and I think they’re awesome! They are the best for giving love and attention. There are a bunch here and I can go up to any of them to get me some lovins. Even the littlest one here is fun to be around (I hear I might be older than he is). They leave their stuff out all the time but I don't bother it at all.
My foster mom keeps putting her hand in my food bowl when I am trying to eat to make sure I don’t get upset, but I just use my paw to get it out of the way so I can get my breakfast.

Boy am I a good watch dog! I do like to make sure you know that someone is at the door, walking by or just kinda near my turf.

I am a very good boy and love to be petted. Oh, and I hope you like giving belly rubs, I do so like belly rubs. I am not too good at playing fetch and am not sure what to do with toys but will sit up and beg when I think you aren't paying enough attention to me :)
I would love to meet you!
