I am Baylee and I am begging you to love and be kind to me. Can you see that in my eyes?

I was dumped at a shelter and pretty much gave up right away on finding a loving home. My foster mom tries really hard to get me to smile but I just don’t have that in me. I love to be close to her and my Eskie foster brother going for walks, and hanging out.

My foster mom thinks I was abused by my previous owner as I am very timid of people and it takes me a long time to warm up to them. I am not aggressive at all, I just want you to love me and I will do all I can to please you. Since I am so shy and timid, my foster mommy doesn't think I could be around children- too many fast movements, loud noises and such would scare me.

It would be great if we could go to a dog obedience class together so I could show you how much I want to please you and make you proud. It would also show me your desire to be with me. I could really use a good doggie-companion, too. I play "follow-the-leader" all the time with my foster brother, and it's really helping my self-esteem. Being an only dog could make me depressed.

I am a very slim mini at 17 lbs and am up to date on shots, heartworm negative and neutered. I get along well with other dogs too.

I am a young Eskie who may have some other mix in me. My color is a bit darker than an Eskie and my ears do not always stay up.

I am just very shy and will need patience and love to adjust to new surroundings. Please are you the family to give me my furever home where I will be safe and loved?

Good with Dogs

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.

There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.

Eskie Rescuers United American Eskimo Dog Rescue, Inc. is an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Please click the donation button below to make a tax-deductible donation through PayPal and help make a difference to even one American Eskimo dog!
