Location: Marcellus MI Hi, my name is Blinky, I am about a year and a half old (best estimate), and I was rescued from a kill shelter. I was very stressed in the shelter but you would be too! I have thick, soft, snow white fur and a nice Eskie smile. I really like being with my people and also like a lot of attention. My foster Mom says I am house trained and I have not had any accidents in the house. When I need to go out, I go and sit by the door or paw at you to get your attention. Aren't I smart? I also can sit and lay down on command and can "shake", too. I walk nicely on a leash without pulling. When left out of my crate, I am not destructive and don't chew on things I shouldn't. I get along with most other dogs and small animals and I even leave my foster Mom's parrot alone! Did I say I was smart? I am, but I'm not perfect. I am overweight and need to lose some pounds to stay healthy for the rest of my life. Matter of fact, the vet says I should weigh between 30 and 32 pounds. A low-calorie diet and lots of walks will be best for me. At first, I was afraid of my foster Dad but now I enjoy his company and jump up on his lap. However, I do make friends with women better than I do men. Like most Eskies, I bark at strangers and take awhile to warm up to new people. I can be very defensive of my family so it's probably best that I do not go to a home with kids because they have a lot of friends and visitors and I may not like that. I do not like it when strange people enter and leave my home and my foster Mom supervises me carefully when visitors come and go. She corrects me if I am not polite and I've made a lot of progress learning to accept new people without causing a fuss. I do not like loud noises and sudden movements as they startle me. Hopefully, when I get comfortable in my furever home and feel secure, I won't be so jumpy. I am a really beautiful Eskie, healthy, neutered, and I want to go to a home where I will be loved and appreciated. Could that be you?
