***I'm located in Hartsville, TN*** Hi, my name is Boots! Don't ask me why that's my name, but I like it. TeeHee. As you can see, I'm not your typical eskie. I'm not your typical dog, for that matter. I'm blind. You'd have to ask my foster mommy more about my disability, but she'll tell you it doesn't slow me down. I like to play with toys, play tug-of-war, and am very loving. Some nice people found me in a shelter in Ohio and put the word out about me- that's when I was rescued and went on a LONG ride to northern Wisconsin. I'm not very old, but I'm not very young- I'm just right (just like the three bears, he he he). I would be ok in a house with other canine pals, but no small children, please. Not that I have anything against kids, but being blind might cause some problems. If you're interested in me and would like more information, please contact ERU at: contact@eskierescuers.org. You can also visit our website and sign-up to fill out an adoption application and learn more about our adoption process. Thank you and WOOF! BOOTS More about BootsGood with Dogs, Not Good with Cats, Good with Kids Special Needs: Blind Boots does not realize that he is blind. His ability to get around and negotiate new spaces and places is remarkable and is probably more accurate that a GPS. Since he is blind it would be best if you always remember to speak to him or make a lot of noise before trying to touch him. Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state. |
