Hi!  My name is Spence and I am just the happiest Eskie!  Some nice rescue people came to pick me up from a scary shelter and boy am I glad!  The shelter people thought I was unadoptable but really I was just scared.  Hey, if you have never spent any time at a shelter, you just wouldn’t know how scary it is!  I was really dirty and covered in some nasty stuff so I was whisked off to have a bath and now I feel so good!  And I smell good too!  J  Just look at my beautiful eyes in my photo – I’m a gorgeous boy!

I was dropped off at the shelter in the “night box” so the shelter didn’t know much about me.  But when the rescue people picked me up they immediately saw that I’m a super sweet little guy.  I got right in the car and was so calm and well behaved during the whole ride.  This might sound like a small thing but it turned out that we had to drive to a shelter in another city to pick up another Eskie boy in a different shelter, so I was in the car for a really long time!  I did really well – and I didn’t even try to escape when the door was opened.

I hope to find my new home with a nice family who will love me.  I will love you back and give you lots of attention and Eskie kisses.  I’ll get up in your lap and cuddle up and just sit and love you.  Oh, I walk really well on a leash too!  My former family taught me lots of nice behavior so I really don’t need very much training.  I was around lots of other dogs today and really enjoyed them.  I even got to go to a dog park for a little while…that was so much fun!  I really liked the other dogs.  I’m pretty laid back so the rescue people think I would do fine with kids and people of all ages.

Well, I hope to be in my new home very soon because I have lots and lots of love to give!  If you are interested in having me join your family, the first step is to fill out an adoption application.  Better hurry…I won’t be available for long ‘cause I know my family will find me soon.  J

Love, Spence

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.

There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.

Eskie Rescuers United American Eskimo Dog Rescue, Inc. is an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Please click the donation button below to make a tax-deductible donation through PayPal and help make a difference to even one American Eskimo dog!
