Lola is a loveable mini who loves to kiss and snuggle.  She also loves to play with other dogs once she gets to know them – and she’s VERY vocal – she just LOVES to grumble in play and mumble sweet nothings as she nuzzles into your face to give kisses.  Like most Eskies, she’s a bit leery of strangers, but once she gets to know you all she wants to do is be with you.  Her absolute favorite treat is banana chips and she will do almost anything to get them!  She has a bit of a foot fetish – she loves nibbling on feet and has a thing for socks and will try to pull them off of feet even!  She also will chew the feet off of dolls lol  She still shows her youthfulness when she is nipping in play and chewing on toys.  Apparently her last family tried to eliminate her mouthing issues by filing her teeth!  It took her a while to get housebroken, but she is now and has been awesome!  She is crate trained, though she prefers to sleep just outside her crate or by the door.  She walks well on a leash and loves to roll around on and slink in the grass.  The only time she pulls is when a car, person or bicyclist pass by.  She does not bother well-mannered cats and absolutely ADORES our 4 1/2-year-old child, but I wouldn’t recommend her be placed with young children, as she has nipped at fast-moving people several times.  She sits on command and after walks to get her leash taken off.  This girl is an absolute lovebug and will make the right person or family very happy!  She is currently recovering from a phantom pregnancy and has been a bit hormonal, to say the least.  She’s also gained quite a bit of weight, most of which should shed soon.  She has already lost almost a pound in about 3 weeks and hope that this trend will continue.  Lola has just tested Heartworm negative after undergoing the Gentle Heartworm Treatment. (see "Gentle Heartworm Treatment 1/1/12" link on the left-hand side of this page for treatment info).

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.

There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.

Eskie Rescuers United American Eskimo Dog Rescue, Inc. is an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Please click the donation button below to make a tax-deductible donation through PayPal and help make a difference to even one American Eskimo dog!
