Playful and energetic

Bingo is a wonderful, playful dog.  He walks well on a leash, takes treats very well (not food aggressive) and loves to be petted and played with.  He knows basic commands (sit, stay, etc).  He likes to chew and needs very strong toys for entertainment (he has not touched the furniture)

Bingo was so dirty he was originally listed as "grey", but he is a gorgeous white eskie mix with caramel drizzles on his face and ears.  He did very well at the groomer, but did need to be muzzled for the toe nail trimming.  I think he is part smooth collie, he has a collie face

 update...bingo does not trust people at first, takes him some time to settle in. once he knows you he is alot easier to handle. he would make a great hiking or jogging companion. I had a trainer here and her comment ...My observation and evaluation of Bingo leads me to believe that Bingo has indeed either been tied out or in a fenced-in yard where he has been able to practice lunging, growling, nipping at people and dogs going past (probably in an area with frequent traffic); his behavior developed probably from excitement/arousal and quickly turned into frustration (not being able to reach) and later into aggressive displays. In your fenced-in yard, he has a tendency to charge (your two dogs in the neighboring fence were completely unflustered by his behavior, however, which leads me to believe that Bingo is somewhat “bluffing”) and also exhibited some stereotypic, somewhat compulsive jumping up in one spot. Bingo is also wary of people reaching for him; there may have been some physical punishment or teasing by children (e. g. throwing stones at him) involved. 

 He MAY be able to live with another dog, but not until he has been tested and worked with around other dogs, and the compatibility of resident dog and Bingo has been established. He would however probably prefer being an only dog. His future owners needs to be knowledgeable and committed and understand that Bingo’s behavior needs to be managed and modified longterm. Currently he would not do well in an urban environment where he would constantly encounter his triggers. If the future owners have a fence, it should be a privacy fence so Bingo cannot see out and over. Bingo should only meet people on neutral territory when he is not behind a physical barrier. He is very food and treat motivated, which helps create a positive association to his triggers.Bingo’s response to “sit” is great and this should be integrated in his daily life as a default behavior. We also started working on “down” by using a lure.Priority for Bingo should be to lower his arousal through management and training (leadership program) and reward him for calm behaviors (e. g. sit and then take him outside, rather than Bingo jumping and nipping and then take him outside). Bingo is a very smart dog, and with proper management, training and appropriate exercise he can be a great dog.
