My name is Avery which in Old English means "Elf Ruler".  Well, I AM little but I'm no elf!

I am a sweet little girl that just got into rescue as an owner surrender.  Unfortunately, the landlord changed his mind about having dogs in the apartment complex so I had to go since my owners had just signed a years lease.  It was tough on them but she was assured that I would only go to the best home! 

I love to go on walks and prance proudly.  I am very alert, lovable and playful.  I am okay with kids but I don't think I'd like toddlers or infants.  I also lived with some cats for a while and another dog.

The groomer shaved me for the summer but all my fur is gone but it will grow back in a few months to be the beautiful white coat Eskies are known for.

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.

There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.
