Hi everyone! My name is Kuyper and I am cute, CuTe, CUTE! I am a sweetie and a lover and I like to play and go for long walks. I like to go in the truck for rides and when you ask me to sit I not only sit but I give you a high-5.  I want so much to please my human; I sit longingly by my foster mommy's side and look into her eyes anticipating what fun we are going to have next.

My foster mommy pulled me from a kill shelter two years ago.  Subsequently I was adopted by a loving young couple.  My daddy was a youth pastor so I spent a lot of time around older children and enjoyed them.  But then my family brought home a human puppy (which was OK), and a few dog years later it started crawling after me all the time!  I like my peace to rejuvenate my cuteness and this little human wouldn't leave me alone.  I growled at her so my mom and dad said I needed a new family with older children who know when to let me sleep.  So back to my foster mommy's home I went.

I am completely housetrained and understand many commands.  Like most dogs, obedience training will help make me the perfect friend and companion.  I would be great for an active family with children over 10 years old (or no children) and I would be very happy to be an only dog.  I am living with five other eskie boys now and we get along fine but I don't try to play with any of them.  I just want to play with my foster mommy.

If you're interested in me and would like more information, please contact

Good with Dogs

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.

There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.

Eskie Rescuers United American Eskimo Dog Rescue, Inc. is an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Please click the donation button below to make a tax-deductible donation through PayPal and help make a difference to even one American Eskimo dog!
