Angel is an adorable adult mini who was left in our outdoor kennels after hours 10/14/12 (est age at that time, 8 years). She was suffering from an untreated flea infestation. The note left by her owner stated they could not afford to properly care for her. Angel's now flea-free and her skin has healed nicely. She's a timid little dog, who would benefit from a calm environment. Angel would be the perfect companion for someone looking for a dog who requires little physical activity, but a lot of love and attention. She enjoys going for walks with volunteers at the shelter and is very cooperative, however, if she feels threatened (sudden movements, unexpected touches, etc), she's apt to offer a warning snap. For this reason, supervision around small children is recommended. The jury's out on whether Angel would do well with other dogs. She shows no reaction to some of the other dogs here at the shelter, however, she exhibits aggression towards others. This little girl picks and chooses which dogs she likes on an individual basis. Therefore, a meet-and-greet with any dogs you currently share your home with would be a must before considering adding Angel to your family. We believe she shared a home with cats previously. This truly is a very sweet little dog who deserves a second chance with a family who will treat her with the love and respect she deserves.
