Blitz arrived in Maine about 3 am yesterday morning. Thank goodness he is quiet and relaxed in the car. Blitz is a mini with a slim build. I'm not sure where he packs the 25 pounds. Blitz joined ERU as the dog he was to be a companion for made Blitzes life miserable. After trying very hard it was decided they were better off split up. He cannot be paired with an over powering dog personality or jealous dog. Blitz does have the "wait and see" of an Eskie but overall is delightful. We have no history that Blitz was around children of any age(s). I don't know where to get any to test Blitz but older, respectful children who know not to tease a dog should be OK. His three, four legged, hosts have made him welcome and Blitz is warming up to playing with them. He also took to the cardboard toy box and is happily strewing toys everywhere. He is a de-stuffer of toys. Blitz is crate trained. Right now he is showing his best company manners but I'll assume more silly Eskiness antics will emerge as he gets comfortable. He is cat curious until they hiss at him and off he runs. Good dog. Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state. Other Pictures of Blitz of ME (click to see larger version):
