Hi!  My name is Snowman...I know that is just a rediculous name for a dog that looks like me, but I have had it for all of my 6 years and really don't like it when you accidentally call me Snowball or Snowflake or any other combination of Snow.  So just stick with Snowman ok...it suits me.  I am 6 years old....I had a pretty great start in life loved by a 10 year old that brought me home to live with her as a puppy she taught me sit, down, paw, high five, up and roll over, but then somethings changed in her family and I was put outside to live in a dog house on a chain or sometimes i would wiggle my way out and just wander the neighborhood and harras delivery truck drivers.  Finally when i was 3, my first owners found me this really fabulous family to live with.  I had a big brother who was a 80lb alaskan malamute that liked to talk a lot.  We got along pretty well...Im not into snuggling with other dogs, only people, but i do enjoy my time with other dogs playing and co-habitating.  I am actually a little more agreeable with humans if there is another dog in the house as long as they like other dogs.  I fell in love with my new Mom.  She would take me and my brother for long walks which i love and let me snuggle and give me the discipline and love that i needed.  Then all of a sudden my big brother left us (passed from cancer) and my mom had these other 2 creatures to care for and well i don't think i like little creatures.  I liked my 10 year old mom i had for a while but these little things that stumble and want to grab me i'm not to sure about.  So, I am looking for a new mom or dad, and maybe even another brother or sister of the furry kind.  I would prefer a house with not to many people in and out of it as my blood pressure goes a little crazy. and i would like a yard that i can lay in somedays.  i don't even need a fence, honest, but you humans seem to think i do.

Please e-mail my foster mommy Erin at Mykenai@gmail.com if you are interested in meeting me.

Good with Dogs

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.

There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.

Eskie Rescuers United American Eskimo Dog Rescue, Inc. is an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Please click the donation button below to make a tax-deductible donation through PayPal and help make a difference to even one American Eskimo dog!
