Hi my name is Eddie and I am originally from West Palm Beach, FL. I lived with my original owner my whole life (11years) up until May when he had to move and couldn't take me with him. I really missed him at first and was very cautious of my foster parents who took me to their home!! They live in Fort Lauderdale, FL so I didn't have to travel too far, but change is always kind of hard.

After a few weeks I realized the other two eskies here really had a lot of fun! We go on one long walk a day, I get good treats, and nice back rubs every day.

My foster parents have discovered I am a very unique dog with a lot of personality! When I get my back rubbed I make a purr noise kind of like a....well you know those other 4 legged animals that need not be mentioned! I LOVE TO PLAY WITH ANY TOY THAT MAKES NOISE!! I also love to play fetch!

I am very agile and act like a 3 year old teenager. I am up to date on my shots and the vet said I have a little heart mummer, but they didn't think it was serious. I also have a little bit of an astigmatism. Other than that I have a clean bill of health.

My foster parents are trying to get my teether cleaner, but I may have to have them cleaned in the future! I have a little trouble jumping up on the couch, but I really like being up there in my foster parents laps.

Well that about describes me....oh and I forgot my nickname "Big Bear" That's what my foster parents nick named me. It's because I have a cute husky build!

Do you have a furever home for me?

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.

There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.

Eskie Rescuers United American Eskimo Dog Rescue, Inc. is an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Please click the donation button below to make a tax-deductible donation through PayPal and help make a difference to even one American Eskimo dog!
