Hi, my name is Aussie! I'm a 9-month old American Eskimo boy who weighs about 20 pounds. I will probably be a small standard-sized Eskie when I'm fully grown. I'm a VERY sweet and loving dog who is eager to learn, to please, and to be loved!

I'm neutered, microchipped, current on all my vaccinations, heartworm negative and on heartworm prevention. I was rescued from a shelter a couple weeks ago. My previous owners didn't seem to have spent much time training me, because I'm almost (but not completely) housebroken. I do know "sit," and my foster mommy is teaching me other commands also (including working on that housebreaking thing-especially to let her know when I need to go outside). She says I'm a fast learner! :o)

I'm good around cats and other dogs, and I have a very gentle nature, so I should do well with children. However I am a little timid and get scared by loud noises, but my foster mommy thinks that will clear up once I get adopted into my forever home and start to feel more secure. I'm a very loyal, faithful and affectionate guy who just wants to be near my human companions and have them return my affection. At night I like to cuddle up next to you in bed! My foster mommy loves me so much that she wants to make sure I get into a wonderful home and get a chance at a normal life. She says I will be a GREAT dog for someone special because I'm so sweet and loving and good-natured-so if that's what you're looking for, then I'm just the dog for you!

If you're interested in me, we can do what's called an "Eskie Railroad" if I'm not local to you. This is a group of volunteer drivers who will each drive a certain distance to get me to you! I'm in Atlanta, GA with my foster mommy, Kim. If you would like to know more about me, please send an e-mail right away!

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.

There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.
