Learn more about the American Eskimo Dog.
Hi, my name is BittyBella, though my foster mommy calls me BB for short. I'm a 1-year old small standard-sized American Eskimo girl who weighs about 22 pounds. I'm spayed, current on all my vaccinations, heartworm negative and on heartworm prevention. I'm almost fully housebroken, but I still have a few accidents occasionally, so my foster mommy is working with me on that. I walk well on the leash and I enjoy my walks. I'm very good with cats and other dogs, but I'm VERY leery of new people. I just need time to get to know you, and then I'm just FULL of lots of kisses and lovin' for you! As is typical with the Eskie breed, I'm wary of strangers and am very protective of you once I claim you as my human! But once I warm up to you, I am SOOOO affectionate, and will sleep in bed with you if you let me. My foster mommy said it was hard to get good pictures of me because all I wanted to do was be in her lap or held in her arms! :o) Wouldn't you love to have me in your life so I can show you how sweet I really am? I can't wait to be in my new forever home so I can be spoiled like a little princess! I know I'm waiting for my new forever family-will that be you? If you're interested in me, we can do what's called an "Eskie Railroad" if I'm not local to you. This is a group of volunteer drivers who will each drive a certain distance to get me to you! I'm in Belle Chasse, LA with my foster mommy, Liz. If you would like to know more about me, please send an e-mail right away! Please contact Liz at: liz@eskierescuersunited.org for more information on me! You can also go to our web site at: www.eskierescuersunited.org and fill out an adoption application for me! Thank you and WOOF! BittyBella!
Eskie Rescuers United
|
Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.
If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.
There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.
