About Blizzard!

Hello, look at me...please!!! My name is Blizzard and I'm in need of a forever home. After I tell you a little about myself, I'll bet you'll give me some serious consideration! :o) I'm a 3- to 4-year old standard-sized American Eskimo male who weighs about 22 pounds. I had quite a beautiful coat before someone left me outside, where I got all muddy and stained. Now my foster mom is bathing me regularly and feeding me a proper diet, and my coat is coming back very nicely. I don't like to brag, but I think I'm a pretty handsome guy!

I'm neutered, current on all my vaccinations, heartworm negative and on heartworm prevention, as well as on flea and tick prevention. My vet gave me a clean bill of health! I'm housebroken and crate-trained, though I prefer to be out of the crate so I can snuggle with my family. Going for a ride in the car is such an adventure! I usually sleep in the back seat while we zip along the highway!

I get along well with other dogs and I'm very non-aggressive. I've heard about cats from my foster brothers and sisters, but I haven't actually had the chance to meet any, so I'm not sure how I will react. I have a sensitive, loving personality, and I absolutely adore children! They bring a big Eskie smile to my face! I love to run and play with them, but I'm very careful not to be too rough! I have a love-of-life attitude and am always happy! I love to run and run and run, just for the fun of it! And I always come when I'm called because I'm a very loyal companion.

My foster mom tells me I'm a great dog, and I tend to believe her-and so can you! :o) I just want to have a family of my own to love. Could that family be you? Wouldn't you love to have me in your home and give me a chance at a wonderful life? If you're interested in me, we can do what's called an "Eskie Railroad" if I'm not local to you. This is a group of volunteer drivers who will each drive a certain distance to get me to you! I'm in Jefferson City, TN with my foster mommy, Jane. If you would like to know more about me, please send an e-mail right away!

For more information on me, please contact Liz at: liz@eskierescuersunited.org or feel free to e-mail my foster mommy directly at: jane@eskierescuersunited.org.

You can also go to our web site at: www.eskierescuersunited.org and fill out an adoption application for me!

Thank you and WOOF!

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.

There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.
