About Bounce!

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • Rescue ID: 04-031
  • Housetrained: Yes
Hi, my name is Bounce! (Guess why my foster mommy named me that! HeHe!) I'm a young standard-sized American Eskimo boy who is about 10 months to 1 year old and weighs 24 pounds. I was found along the interstate and was VERY dirty (from that yucky red clay) and had to have my hair shaved down, but it's growing back out now, though rather slowly. But I was lucky enough to have found my way to the BESTEST foster home in Tennessee! Don't you think my foster mommy has done a wonderful job of cleaning me up and making me look so handsome?

I'm recently neutered, current on all my shots, heartworm negative and on heartworm prevention. I'm also housebroken and kennel trained. I know the "sit" command, but I can't remember to do it for longer than a second at a time. Hey, what do you expect-I'm still an energetic puppy! :o)

I'm very friendly and playful and get along extremely well with my foster mommy's other dogs. She says I have such great spirit that you'd never know I was a rescue dog! I'm exuberant and full of life, love to play tennis ball, and run and run and run, just for the fun of it! I bounce through the day and am never still. I'm not such a great leash walker because I AM so bouncy! (I don't pull, I just bounce!) But I'm very good about coming when you call me, and I'm good with my foster mommy's 6-year old granddaughter, though I'd be a bit hyper for younger children. I'm always wearing that smile we Eskies are so well known for, and I never meet a stranger. My foster mommy says I'll make someone a wonderful pet-will that be you? I can't wait to be in my new forever home with you!

If you're interested in me, we can do what's called an "Eskie Railroad" if I'm not local to you. This is a group of volunteer drivers who will each drive a certain distance to get me to you! I'm in Jefferson City, TN with my foster mommy, Jane. If you would like to know more about me, please send an e-mail right away!

Please contact Liz at: liz@eskierescuers.org for more information on me!

You can also go to our web site at: www.eskierescuers.org and fill out an adoption application for me!

Thank you and WOOF!

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.

There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.
