Hi, my name is Lenny! I'm a 6-year old miniature American Eskimo boy who stands 14 inches tall and weighs 26 pounds. I'm a very solid little boy! :o) I was badly matted when I was rescued and the fur on my backside had to be shaved, but it's growing back quite nicely now. (My previous owners didn't take very good care of me, but I'm getting the best of care now.) But I still think I'm as cute as can be-just take a look at my pictures and see if you don't agree! :o) I'm neutered, current on all my shots, heartworm negative and on heartworm prevention. When I was rescued I was diagnosed heartworm positive, but my nice foster family took me in for treatment and I'm just fine now! I'm housebroken and crate trained, and very intelligent. I know the commands "sit" and "paw." I'm pretty laid back and don't chew on furniture, shoes, or toys. I like to go for walks and do very well on a leash. And I've just discovered the fun of riding in a car! Though I tend to be shy around strangers, I'm becoming much friendlier, as well as more social towards men. (I would growl and nip at them, probably because it was a man who had treated me so badly in my former life!) My foster daddy is working very hard at helping me rebuild trust with men. It took about two or three days before I was able to relax around him, but he plays with me a lot and we get along really well now! I do much better around women and children (including kids as young as 2). I'm very good with other doggies but we don't know about cats, as my foster mommy isn't sure I've ever been around them. I'm a great watchdog and will let you know if any strangers are nearby. Otherwise, I'm VERY sweet and loving, give lots of kisses, and want to be around you all the time. I just LOVE attention and will let you know that I want to be petted! I even like to sleep with you! Wouldn't you like to have me in your home and give me a chance at a wonderful life?
