Hi, my name is Daffy! I am a 7 year-old very sweet, shy and well behaved girl. Ok I know you are all asking yourselves, "if you are so well behaved then how did you end up in rescue?" Well let me tell you!! Way back when I was a youngster, this nice family went to the humane society in Texas. They were looking for a young dog. The officer told them they did not have any, but there was a young dog running loose. Nobody could catch it. If the family could catch the little sprite, they could have her. So this family really gave it their all - and boy did I give them a run for their money! I made them work very hard to deserve me. Then I got tired of the game because I was hungry. So my belly won out and I had to let them win me! They took me home and loved me very much. All was perfect! We moved around a lot because my new family was in the service. So every couple of years we got to live in a new home. It was very exciting. Then they decided to have babies. Wow 3 children in 5 years -- still I was perfect. Now we were just a bigger, happier family.

Then one day they were very sad -- there was lots of crying and whispering going on. I knew something was wrong. My beloved family was being sent overseas to Germany and I would have to find a new home. It is just not fair, I did not do anything wrong. They are not allowed to take me. They can only take 2 pets and since I was the youngest and also a pure-breed they felt I had a better chance at finding a home than my sister dog and my sister cat. They were broken hearted to have to leave me behind -- but because I am a very good girl with other dogs, cats, and kids they know I will find a great home somewhere else.

I'm spayed, up-to-date on my vaccinations, tested negative for heartworm and I'm on monthly heartworm and flea/tick preventative. I'm in very good health. I'm a little "poofy" -- I weigh 26 lbs. Ok. So I'm a little on the chunky side.

I am a little shy but heck I just lost everything I ever knew. So here I am waiting for someone to love me again like I was loved before. Could you be that someone? Then hurry up and fill out an adoption application for me, I'm ready to roll :o)

If you're interested in me and would like more information, please contact Gina at: gina@eskierescuersunited.org. You can also click here to fill out an adoption application for me.

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

To get me to you, we can do what's called an "Eskie Railroad," which is a group of volunteer drivers who will each drive a certain portion of the transport. (We always ask that you, as the adopter, help out by taking the final leg.) If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you may have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you).

There is a $150 adoption fee required, and please be aware that Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.

Lots of Eskie hugs and kisses!
