Hi, my name is Shiloh! I'm a 9-month old standard-sized American Eskimo boy who stands 15 inches tall and weighs 28 pounds. Yes, I'm a big guy already (but not fat, as you can see from my pictures), but that just means there's that much more of me who can love you! I'm neutered, current on all my shots, heartworm negative and on heartworm prevention. My foster mommy is working on getting me housebroken and learning to walk on a leash. (My previous owners didn't train me very well-they thought I'd learn on my own just by being left in the yard contained by Invisible Fencing.) I'm also trying to learn good indoor manners, so I definitely need a firm hand and some obedience training. Besides, that will help us bond with each other! :o) I'm a great puppy who is very good with other dogs. I also get along with kitties, but I especially love playing with my 6- and 9-year old HUMAN foster siblings (you know, kids!). I have LOTS of energy and just love to play! (I especially love hide and seek--my foster mommy says I'm your typical puppy who likes to try to pinch anything possible and run off with it! HeHe!) I'm very outgoing but was given very little attention by my previous owners, so I LOVE to be showered with petting and affection. Wouldn't you love to have me in your home and give me a chance at a wonderful life? I know I'm waiting for my new forever family-will that be you? You can see what a handsome boy I am!!! If you're interested in me, we can do what's called an "Eskie Railroad" if I'm not local to you. This is a group of volunteer drivers who will each drive a certain distance to get me to you! I'm in Colchester, CT with my foster mommy, Hayley. If you would like to know more about me, please send an e-mail right away! Please contact Leah at: leah@eskierescuers.org for more information on me! You can also go to our web site at: www.eskierescuers.org and fill out an adoption application for me! Thank you and WOOF! Shiloh!
Eskie Rescuers United
|
Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.
If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.
There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.
