Hi, my name is Squirt! I'm an 18-month old standard-sized American Eskimo/mix male who weighs 30 pounds. Don't you think I look so cute with my one ear that flops over? I was found as a stray and was going to be put down, but luckily for me someone contacted ERU and my new sweet foster mommy rescued me in time. I'm really shy around strangers, so when my foster mommy came to get me, she had to pick me up and put me in her car. But she brought her own Eskie with her, and being with a new friend helped put me at ease.

I'm neutered, current on all my vaccinations, heartworm negative and on heartworm prevention. I'm crate- and kennel-trained, and housebroken, too-well, almost! I'm still a puppy and sometimes I have accidents if my foster mommy doesn't watch me closely enough. But I'm trying very hard to learn good manners so my new owners will be really proud of me! I could use some obedience training, and I need to learn how to walk on a leash, because right now I do pull a bit. (Did I mention that I'm still a puppy?) Wouldn't you like to adopt me and teach me how to be the perfect pet and companion?

I get along very well with dogs, especially if they like to play. I have lots and LOTS of energy and would do great in a home with other Eskies, because I like to play, play, PLAY! We don't know how I would be around cats since we don't have any here. My foster mommy thinks I would do great with children, especially if the kids want a friend who will play with them!

I'm a sweet and lovable guy who is waiting for my new forever family-will that be you? Wouldn't you love to have me in your home and give me a chance at a wonderful life? If you're interested in me, we can do what's called an "Eskie Railroad" if I'm not local to you. This is a group of volunteer drivers who will each drive a certain distance to get me to you!
