About G Golly Miss Molly

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • Rescue ID: 05-085
  • Housetrained: Yes
Hello, y'all! My name is Good Golly Miss Molly! I'm a Texas Eskie who suddenly found herself uprooted to Tennessee. It's okay actually, but they sure do talk funny around here! :o) A lady is never supposed to tell her age but my foster mom said I had to! I'm about 7 years old, but I act like I'm about a year old, I'm so frisky and playful and full of energy! I weigh in at 26 pounds. (Okay, now you're really pushing my buttons...you know my age AND weight! Now I have NO secrets left!) The pictures of me are before my mom had me sheared. No one had ever taken the time to brush my luxurious coat. What's a girl to do? Now that I am sporting the newest short lion cut, I just feel so goooooooooood! (That's southern talk for I FEEL GREAT!)

I'm spayed, current on all my vaccinations, heartworm negative and on heartworm, flea and tick prevention. I'm potty trained and walk well on a leash. I used to run away when they took my leash off, but I've gotten over that. I know what "Molly, come now!" means: I better hustle and get into the house or I won't get a treat! I'm crate-trained, though I would rather that rumor not get around, because I would prefer be outside my crate with my family. I know all the basic commands: sit, stay, down, and I'm pretty good at them!

I get along well with my doggie foster brothers and sisters, but sometimes I need to act like I'm the supreme queen dog and so I get this attitude going...hehehe! (My brothers and sisters don't even appreciate me though! They usually ignore my temper and keep going!) I've had a CAT scan but didn't do to well...I hate cats, actually! They just run around and purr and meow and try to get all the attention. Those darn cats...BLAH!!! I don't think I would do well with small children, but older children would be wonderful.

I have this great personality that just oozes charm. (I went to the bank to get a small business loan to open a charm school for special Eskie girls like myself, but the bank wouldn't work with me. What nerve!) I love belly rubs and watching TV and playing tug of war. (I have to act like I don't really enjoy this stuff because a lady like me needs to act refined and worldly.)

Wouldn't you love to have me in your home and give me a chance at a wonderful life? I'm waiting as patiently as I can for my new forever family, someone of my very own who will throw tennis balls, give me belly rubs and generally dote on me. Wow, what a life that will be! So here I am...smart, charming, and beautiful, but with no one special to share my life with. C'mon and give a girl a chance! I promise you that you won't be sorry! Hugs and sloppy kisses! (Oops, my real personality shines through sometimes!)

If you're interested in me, we can do what's called an "Eskie Railroad" if I'm not local to you. This is a group of volunteer drivers who will each drive a certain distance to get me to you! I'm in Jefferson City, TN with my foster mommy, Jane.

For more information on me, please contact Leah at: leah@eskierescuersunited.org or feel free to e-mail my foster mommy directly at: jane@eskierescuersunited.org.

You can also go to our web site at: www.eskierescuersunited.org and fill out an adoption application for me! There is an adoption fee required to adopt me. Also, please be aware that Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out our fosters as outdoor dogs.

Love you!

Miss Molly

More about G Golly Miss Molly

Not Good with Cats, Is Not Good with Kids

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.

There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.
